Wow, Norm, I really like your photo. The swollen stream is emphasized with the silky water. The copse of trees on the left provide a good start for the eye as the viewer is invited into the picture. I also really like the soft, almost shadow-less light. The use of B&W is really excellent. Could you update your post by showing a color version so we can see and compare the mono effect? |

Well done, John. Triangles are well used to provide a 'strong' composition. keeping the center of action off center keeps the eye in the frame. The use of B & W is well done and simplifies the picture.
Unfortunately, there is a bit of highlight burn out with loss of detail on the middle light colored string. It is surprising how much this diverts interest and attention.
The rectangular dark loop is similarly distracting. The light weight abstraction of shadow/reflection could also be made more committed and firmer or more ethereal and lighter. |
