Carroll, I want you on our next trip. YOu have some really great shots of your China adventure. I really like the composition, the depth of field, the muted colors, and the story behind the picture. You have chosen a great angle and effectively eliminated the background potential distractions. I'd put this on the wall next to your last month's foto. Brava! |

Wow, Stan! A little touch of vertigo there... That picture has almost a 3D presentation. Clone the tips of your shoes into the bottom edge (just kidding). I love that paart of the country and if it was my picture it would be hanging on the living room wall. Nice colors, good exposure, Good dpeth of fiel... hard to improve on that. |

What an intriguing image, Norm. The horizontal light that sneaks in from the right has an amazing effect - it feels surreal! I suspect that you can only get the shot at a certain time of the day in a certain month when all the factors line up. That makes the picture even more intriguing - did the architect plan this? What is going on inside the lighted area?
the soft blue-ish shadowless light in the rest of the picture contrast beautifully with the solar illumination. The picture has a wonderful feel. Would a polarizer have helped the sky or would it detract from the naturalness of the picture? |

To scream or not to scream? That is the question...
Cute, John. the photo is well done and technically excellent as usual. I think a little more emphasis on the mouse might improve it a bit - some very subtle additions like putting the mouse on the top left rule of thirds power point; trying a subtle vignette of about 25 or 30 per cent centgered on the mouse.
I like the arcs of the wheel hub that sort of provide leading lines to get to the mouse. A nice warm sort of smiley image :-) |
