OOh- scary! It sort of announces how I feel in the jungles down here - like there is something inherently threatening behind all that tangle of growth. I note you chose animals that are all found here in Florida - including the wild boar. The boar is the center of attention - then the eye travels and 'finds' the other animals. Leads us to explore the image for an extended time. Nice that you created an oval I the center of the tangle for the animals to advance form. You might try removing the upper gator - see if this makes the image a little less packed. But might be best just the way it is. Great creativity here! Well done! |

WOW! Very impactful image. The concentric circles are super - made more interesting by the dynamic range of the art within them. The coppery areas tend to point the eye to the center as well and provide amazing splash of excitement and contrast. Also critical to the success of this image is the fact that you didn't shoot it directly from below thus keeping the center circle off center - great composition. |

An interesting subject! Statue has a great pose; like the way the dark cloth creates an S-curve across his body. Its what makes him stand out a bit against all the white and light shades around him. I think the cloth and the position of his hand are what attract the eye to him. The leaves on the tree also add nice texture. However, there are a number of things here that do distract - the window at upper left corner, the bits of stairs at both lower corners. But mostly I cant get past the sign that is hanging in front of his little stage. Would be impossible to remove in editing - and no way to crop it out of the image without ruining the subject. |

Incredible colors - warm yellow - oranges against the blue. I love the soft curves defined by the space between the petals. The slight softness just where the petals begin to curve under leading to sharper edges of the petals inside the space give it greater depth. The curving of the petal veins also helps our eye discern that roundness. This is a case in which the color becomes a 'leading line' -intensity of the red-orange color lightening to a warm pure yellow leads the eye inward. I love this just as it is, but I immediately saw a more abstract even closer crop opportunity; see VF (I did increase the clarity and the saturation just for a different interpretation.) |

Lovely, lovely! A real eye-popper! Wonderful choice of the warm white doily underneath- provides both color and pattern accents. Strawberries are superbly sharp; interestingly arranged in dish. The shine of the glass dish is the prefect touch here. Light is excellent. And the final bit of perfection is the fact that you have a dark gray area fading to all the black background; makes it less stark. A great image! |

I also like the way the stamen appears to float in the circle of red. Nice the way the sharp edges of the petal edges and lines lead eye to center as well. Red against eh green background pops nicely. I think the vignette is a little heavy for this image - you may see what you think if you lessen it just a tad. You can also create an even more controlled vignette by using the ND filter on each corner. I made a few editing adjustments that I think make the hibiscus pop even more - but you will only see the difference if you save my VF and compare it to your in your editing software because it's subtle. I used curves to spread the dynamic light range, sharpened a tad, upped the clarity a tad. I also lightened a small area behind the head of the stamen so the red dots at the stamen top are visible. See what you think. |

You got excellent DOF at that open aperture -esp on the bee's head, thorax and front edges of his wings. His individual hairs are so prominent as are the lines in his wings. Good bokeh as well. I also like the way you tilted the composition to give more interest at a bit of unusual angle. Light picks out the bee and flower bits wonderfully. Like the green leaf stripe - provides nice background for bee golds. Not sure what to think about the pink blob in upper left. On one hand, it moves the pink to another corner of the image providing color balance. But it also pulls the eye up to that corner |

Shapes, lines, texture and color! Good eye to see these small images around you. Powerful horizontal and vertical lines, intersected with the round rivet heads. I did note that the image has most of the interest to the left of the crack; so I cropped it differently to make the interesting bits even more prominent. See VF - see what you think, |
