The duck is needed as a foreground object. Without it you would need to crop tighter in my opinion. I like the lighter trees in the valley behind the bridge. That and the highlights on the trees on the right break up what might be way to much dark trees. The light sparking on the water is nice. Good capture. |

Good capture of the young lady and the cow. Yes, the other young lady is distracting but also helps tell the story of a county fair. The soft background is very nice and hard to get at these fairs. |

I suspect the locals would not believe the wonderful lighting in this image. It might not judge well in Photo Travel. At least one judge would think "over processed". Yes this demonstrates the value of a good cell phone camera you always have along. You also pointed out that parking ramps can be a good place to get a unique view of a cityscape. I wouldn't even consider the possibilit without seeing this image. |

I really like this image. It is so unique you have to like it. While I love monochrome, I vote for color on this one. The contrast between foreground, middle and background is good in both cases but better in color. |

I feel the crop is a little tight on the top tulip, the handle, and prthaps the bottom. I like the tone and the vingnet. I have seen the interest in a picture go up significantly by bringing back the color of one thing. In this case perhaps one of the dark tulips. |

I think it has been said well. A delightful image of an interesting animal up against an immovable object. The comparison of textures and colors is great but speculating about why he is doing this adds the interest. |

The eye on the left does have a reflection but few will notice. Blown up a lot it may be a distraction but I am not concerned about it. It is true that in a wildlife or even nature competition technically it shows "hand of man" but it would be rare a judge would notice or care. I remember once having a picture of an elephant with a lot of vegetation behind him. It was disqualified. I looked wondering why and saw a bit of a Jeep through a hole in the brush. It could happen with this. Removing it would also be a violation. I think I have had this accepted in nature. |
