Your point is well taken, but there were significant distractions on both sides and I didn't want to go in any further. If I went in on the left, I would just cut the next pot in half. On the right I didn't want to take away any more of the building. You may notice that I darkened some concrete in the lower right corner. It was very distracting and things got even worse to leave more in the image. |

An unusual treatment you intended to create. Well done. You added a stroke or your treatment would of been lost on a black background for the image. Well thought out and achieved. I missed that this was to be a flower month. |

I like the detail provided by the soft shadow of the flowers on the background. Nice symmetric (centered) composition appropriate for shots like this. I would prefer more space above the flowers however. Perhaps you have a version with this or could add it. |

I like the sepia tone of this shot and the dark non-distracting background. The stems and leaves are a little snarlly, but cropping up would result in two different flowers or groups of flowers. I might prefer cropping in to concentrate on the single flower on the right. |

Interesting, you can see the refracted feet on the bottom through the reflection. The "hide" allowed you to be close but above the bird, an unusual position for a shot of a shore bird. |

Very nice. Taken the way it should be as he did his work, not posed smiling at the camera. The pose directs attention to the bees on the hive with the f/2.8 at 105mm providing a nice soft background. Well done. |

A very unusual and beautiful image of the cathedral. I am not sure where that "secret trail" is. I have been up both sides of the Oak creek. I have been on the side few go to where there is a red rock shelf, but I don't think it would look like this. The commonly used rock shelf might provide this view with enough rain but is on the commonly used trail, not a secret one. I am curious where this great shot was taken. Clouds are also great. |

I think Stuart is right, I might of overdone texture or clarity or something. I normally don't go very high with things however unless it is in a control point or selection. on the sky if I move any of these sliders it is to take out texture clarity, or even contrast. |

I agree with Don, the bottom needs to be cropped to focus attention on the fish salesman and not the out of focus foreground. I would consider also cropping the right a bit but that is questionable because his eyes go that way. I like the clock and Caju$ sign and would keep all of this. |

You picked a great spot to tell the story you documented so well with your title. You even have the official holding them back. I understand your desire to get farther back with a longer lens, but you could accomplish much the same with a crop from the right to frame the riders on the track with the waiting riders. You loose the rear wheel on the bike on the right but you don't need it to tell the story. You did well to pre-visualize and document this story. |

I like this unusual view. I wonder if this point of view is hard to get to with dry feet, or why isn't it more common. I agree with Don. This would be easy to accomplish with control points in Silver Efex or you could still do it with selections in Lightroom, Adobe RAW or Photoshop. Be careful that you don't loose contrast with the bridge however, or distract too much from it. |

Jerry's comment is so well made. Our local club has started an "abstract" category and struggled to define it. This is abstract for me. I might know what it is, but the patterns create art very different from the subject. The mono treatment emphasizes that. |

Don said it well. Some would see a busy image, others an image to wander around in and appreciate the image for the stoty it tells so well. Excellent sharp image with just enough palm trees to help set the place a bit. |
