Good timing, it looks like the sun just went below the horizon lighting the clouds without blowing things out. You used the trees in silhouette to frame the sunset. I think you did the best you could to find a foreground for the shot. The framing adds a lot. |

I think you shot it well. If you went to f/8 the flowers in the background would be sharper, but they would still not be sharp. I think it is best to make it look deliberate that you have achieved limited depth of field. You have a feeling of depth without as much distraction as far as I'm concerned. |

A very interesting subject. I never would of guessed there was a tricycle like this. A creative toy of the past. I wonder how old it is. I think you photography and processing are both well done. |

An architecturally interesting building with an equally interesting frame. The monochrome conversion seems to be well done. I think I will just say, well done. |

A beautiful shot with perhaps just past peak fall color and a nice reflection. Who would think this was in Manhattan. The bridge makes the shot and the apartment building does not detract. Well done! |

The landscape opportunities here in Arizona and many of the western states are virtually unlimited. I sometimes wish I was younger to be able to hike into the more remote places. |

I almost did this when I posted, but was in a hurry, attached is the color version that was used for the mono conversion. The lighter area at the top of the image seemed distracting in the mono and was cropped. I believe also a minor crop from the right and bottom. Some lighter areas removed that were not needed. |

Looks like a very interesting small city. It looks like they have preserved at least part of the old city wall, perhaps a main gate. This looks like a place to stop since we are doing a Midi canal cruise ending perhaps not far from here and probably going to Barcelona to get a flight out. I will do some searches on this place. I think it might work to crop some from the left. The tree might do an even better job of framing the most interesting part of the city. |

Pictures like this can suffer from a lake of a center of interest, and some of them, the patterns themselves become a center of interest. This one seems to accomplish this and as a bonus the face in the upper left becomes something to settle on and study. In fact the dark area under the face on the left becomes, with a little imagination, a person. |

You mastered the turning a wildlife shot into a landscape shot with wildlife in it. When you don't have a longer lens this often works. Normally I am concerned about turning a lot of vegetation like this into a monochrome. It can get like an excessive load of details, but your processing to bring up the high contrast seems to of resolved that. I think you could crop from the top some. The bird becomes more centered top to bottom, but still well located left to right. I think it can work. |

We seem to have some creative people in the group this month. Another interesting shot. It seems there was a lot of dark things in this shot, so if you were in Auto ISO that might be where you ended up at ISO 1000, but I don't think it hurt anything. Modern cameras handle it well. I think the tone in the shot was a good idea. It worked. |

I agree, way over the top just for a photo. She also has paint handprints on her arms. It certainly resulted in an interesting photo however. I can't help but wonder, was the pattern in the carpet planned or was it just the way it was, in any case, I think it adds to the shot. Her hair was perfect for the shot, or else your monochrome conversion of her hair was perfect. |
