I like your image and also your processing with one exception. Often these Nik or other effects are a little overdone, or result in great processing of part of the image, but not all of it. In this case, I suspect that something in the processing took detail out of those clouds. I recommend that when you go out of Elements into a Nik filter, you duplicate the background layer and process the new layer above it. Then you can adjust the Opacity of the layer to reduce the effect over the entire image, or add a layer and mask and brush the adjustment off or just reduce it for part of the image. |

The portrait really tells a story. These people live very hard lives and it shows in their faces. You have captured the story of a life, or hopefully of a moment in a life. The strange thing is that in all of our travels to places where people live in poverty that we don't see in our lives, the vast majority of them seem very happy. This certainly looks like an exception to that rule. |

I know a very good PSA photographer that loves to photograph flowers. She carries clips to hold distracting things away from the subject while she is shooting and also a small air bulb to blow of dust off bugs or whatever. She concentrates on Nature exhibitions so what you did would not be allowed.
She tries to have the flower perfect prior to the capture. You did a good job in post processing however. Very nice image and I bet you positioned the camera to get that great background. |

An absolutely beautiful capture of this flower. The colors are great. Linda's suggestion to make it more an art image is a good one, but in any case, I think it would be good to remove the leave in the upper left. It does not appear to be from this flower so does not add to the story. Very nice. |

Your crop to a portrait was a good plan. I might even go further and crop up from the bottom to just a little under the black under the chin. I think the mono all the way might be better but you need to insure the resulting grey tones contrast well with every hair of the animal. Good capture and presentation of the image. |

I think I am going with the "don't change a thing crowd". Darkening the color at the bottom risks not looking as natural. There is a good argument about darkening the bright areas behind the seed head, but I like the bright spots at the edge of the head. It might be nice to have a little more contrast with the seeds on the left side, but the image is very good as it is. Well done. |

Strange, I didn't even see that. I think I can get it out without loosing any of the fern. Good call. |

I believe the extra person is the photographer. This was not a ceremony, it was a photo op. |

The picture is the perfect exposure of what is in the windows, signs and reflections. Most of the rest is pretty near pure black. Nothing wrong with that, but it might work with just a little more detail in the walls of the building, then again that might just be distractions. Well done as you did it. |

I don't understand how the horizon tilts and the structure does not. Normally over water if the camera is only a few feet above the water even a far shore should be level. You are correct, the most important is the structure is vertical. I think you should try John's suggestion to try to correct it. It is unusual for me to prefer an image with the light tones you selected, but they work very well on this image. |

A very interesting composition of a very ordinary and not very attractive subject. Well done. I like the formality of the straight up and down sections of the wire. I think John's suggestion of a small crop on the top to not look into the top of the spool is a good one. |

A very nice monochrome that I consider a significant improvement over the color version, the color adds nothing and mono provides emphasis of patterns and lines. It seems from the color version that you might be able to coax more contrast in the section of the pattern in the far left. If possible that might be an improvement to a very nice image. |

Great find, I have been to Jerome a number of times and never found this shot. You have created a very nice composition out of it. I like the tonal range of the image. I agree with Jerry, I think some crop from the right might improve the image. |

Perspective is perfect which is important in an image of architecture. Either perfectly level camera or good correction, my guess perfectly level camera. I like the sky with some detail but not distracting. These building do well with the light sky. A well placed iconic building makes the image. |

A man took our picture in front of a giant sequia using a vertical pano. Much different top to bottom from bottom to top. Exposure set with first shot. |

I thought about it but didn't want to pinch the ends of the bridge, I wanted the bridge to have someplace to go. Frankly I might do it on another version, particularly the right side. It would remove that light colored rock in the upper right corner. |

Everyone will take the image of the entire falls. It is a required image, but the long tall line through the image doesn't seem like a great composition. I then tried from above the bridge into the pool below. Better, but not what I wanted. I think the best part of this image and the most iconic is the bridge itself. I don't know if I have seen this done, but it made sense to me. Thanks for your comments. |

Jerry, I am glad you made this observation. This image has fast falling (upper falls) and slow falling (lower falls) right next to each other. Most people don't think about the shutter speed will affect the top and bottom of the falls differently and different on short and tall waterfalls. |
