That was also my first reaction. Perhaps that adds to the intrigue and the feeling that you just have to keep looking at this image. |

I wanted the symmetry of an image taken on a perpendicular line to the middle of the window. Any other angle would distort the symmetry of the window in my mind. Yes, you could crop the bottom of the image, but I feel the people enjoying that view are part of the story. If you crop to where you eliminate the people and what looks like brass poles jutting into the bottom of the image, you pretty much loose the beauty of Lake Louise. I understand the comments, but I will stick with it the way it is. I don't think this is going to be an exhibition winning or perhaps even accepted image, but I enjoy it. |

The title of the image is perfect. The image says end of summer loud and clear. The colors are great and the background is nice and soft which is just what you probably wanted. the light is excellent. Good image. |

I think this image needs to be in color, but you are blessed that the colors of the wall are so muted. More color would be distracting. The sign tells the story without the other barber pole, but to me the image of just the sign becomes more ordinary and not as creative. |

I would consider cropping down from the top a bit. If you don't like the resulting aspect ratio, you could crop in from the right, even eliminating part of the ear piece. I frankly like that both eye pieces show and would not be concerned that the other one does not provide a clear image. That would distract from your story which is found in the other eyepiece. |

A great image and so unique of a very iconic place. I didn't even recognize it at first. It is so wonderful that such a beautiful place still has a dark enough sky to make a capture like this. Hang it on the wall or go win some gold medals. I would love to see this in the Arizona Chapter Print Circuit this fall. You will be able to enjoy seeing it at the exhibition in February in Surprise, AZ. The rest of you might want to submit some prints also. |

Without seeing the monochrome, I think I like the color version. I like seeing the subdued colors of the old rusted trike with the also subdued colors of the grass. I think it is improved by cropping down a bit from the top and in from the right works, but if you crop from the right, avoid getting the trike too centered, you might need to go pretty tight. The more intense colors in the upper left are a bit distracting but I prefer not cropping so far as to totally eliminate them. Perhaps process that area a bit to reduce the attention attraction. What Tracy speculated was bokeh looks like some artifact to me, perhaps from processing. You might want to go back to your original and see if it is there. |

A beautiful image taken in excellent light and processed well. I have a shot taken from just a little farther to the right with a desert flower in the foreground, but i don't think it has the color from great light this one has. i have not been there since they put the safety wall where most tourists go, I don't think the wall goes as far as where you were for this shot and i am glad to see this beautiful shot is still available. |

I am sorry, I jumped ahead. the Micro 4/3s 12mm is equivalent to 15mm on a Canon APS, 18mm on a Nikon APS, and 24mm on a full frame. |

The picture was taken in the fairly early morning and I am pretty sure I am looking basically west. I am at the base of a pretty steep hill with trees on it, that probably explains the dark foreground. The depth of field at f/16 with the micro 4/3 camera is very large. |

Thanks for your comments. I am shooting Micro 4/3 so my 12mm has similar field of view as 15mm on an APS sensor or 18mm on a full frame. If you want a wide lens, my new Samsung Galaxy S10 cellphone has three lens on the front and two on the back. One of the front lenses with a 123 degree field of view. It sure it fun to use it. |

A composition with lots of lines. Near vertical and horizontal and lots of diagonals also. The result tends to be a strong composition, but for me it suffers with other details of trees and wires that hold it back from the potential it might of had. |

A beautiful image. the tones and textures are excellent. All the tones are represented in a very pleasing way. Such a simple repetition composition which always seems to be appealing, at least to me. |

I like the image. It feels rather classic to me. There is a lot going on in this image and the barber and the man reading the paper could be interpreted by some as two centers of interest, but an image like this is intended for the viewer to wander around in the image taking in all the details of the shop. I like it just the way it is. |

I don't think the area of lost detail in the clouds is large enough to be much of a concern. The detail in the mountain is great and the positioning of the mountain in the frame and on the clouds seems excellent to me. A few steps right or left or waiting just a short time with the clouds moving would not of been as good an image. Very nice. |

Tough to beat a yellow sunflower against a blue sky, but the mono version seems to be better. The original is smaller, but I have a feeling that even if the same size, it would not bring as much attention to the great textures in the flower head and the leaves. The background of the sky provides some interesting sky detail without becoming distracting. Nice image. |
