I like having all three flowers. The white one has more detail than the other two and is my favorite. Frankly, the color in the center of it is the way it is and doesn't bother me. You could do a selection and desaturate it if you wish however. The red and blue don't seem as sharp. This could be that they are not as sharp, or it could be that the red and blue colors hit the 255 level and lost detail. A creative idea for the holiday. |

We talked about the perspective distortion when I submitted an image of these towers. I personally think this is not really lens distortion unless the straight lines end up looking curved. In this case they do not, at least not an excessive amount. Perspective distortion is something our cameras just document that is also part of our vision of the scene. This is how it really looks, but somehow we ignore this when we see it with our eyes. Personally, I would not worry about it. The night shot takes it from a typical tourist shot to a very nice image. |

Nice capture. I normally like to avoid brokeh, but it makes this a more artistic image and not a documentary image which I believe actually contributes to the success of the image. I think I would be tempted to crop the right to eliminate or minimize the brightest brokeh on the right side of the image however. The image seems technically very good, you either used a tripod or have a very steady hand. |

There is nothing in the image that tells me that this is Ellis Island if I have not been there, but even if you don't know this, the mood of the image fits Ellis Island or you imagine that it is a place that fits the mood of the image. I think that means the image works very well. |

The position of the head is great. 1/3 down and 1/3 in from the right. The colors are excellent and the detail is very good. Yes, the feathers on the left are not sharp, but I could make the case that this helps focus you on what is important on the right side of the image. If the soft focus bothers, you could crop the left a bit. |

A very nice and peaceful image. I like the three rocks. I think you need a foreground object and this provides it. I like the areas of light in the green grass. The reflection is important to fill what could be too much blank water. |

Just looking at some other groups for something that stands out for me. This caught my eye. The unique processing really seems to work. I rather like turning a blah sky into a black one to set off images. You did a great job of it. |

I don't seem to relate to this image very well. I cringe at using the words "center of interest" because I don't believe all images need an obvious one, but this doesn't seem to have one and if it does not, I like to find interest throughout the image and that isn't working well for me either. Faces of people, or even flowers are examples that i can enjoy scanning around an image with, but these trees are not interesting enough for me. |

I am late to the party and can't add much. I agree that lightening the highlights in the upper right seem like a good improvement. I don't feel anything else is very significant, perhaps you could also consider darkening the vegetation to the left of the tree on the left side of the image. The contrast in the area of the stairs should do a good job of holding attention where you want it. |

I think both the color and the mono versions are outstanding. I do think I would try cropping the right to remove the rocks on the right. I feel like Don expressed, that these rocks take attention away from the main composition of the image. |

Jerry, this is an awesome and creative image. I like the tone you have added for this image. The border works well. All this contributes to the age of the image. Well done. |

The dark image creates a mood and I like it. The lines of the cables provide a very strong composition against the angular structure of the supporting tower. You know from some of my work, that blocking up blacks in a monochrome does not both me and it doesn't in this either. I think it is worth trying a very narrow stoke so it is clear where the edge of the composition is, but it might seem distracting, and I think since parts of all four sides are defined might make it not needed. |

I really like this image. The head of the flower is sharp and the petals that are most important are also. I don't understand why the petals on the left are a bit soft, but I don't think it is much of a concern. Some might consider the background a little busy, but I consider it an interesting texture. if the original has a little more space above the head of the flower, I might consider a little different crop. |

I was just touring around groups looking for something that caught my attention and this really grabbed me. Nice work, the silhouettes against that background make a great image. |
