Thanks, Paul,
Here's a copy of the original. It was shot during the day, underexposed, with the sun coming from the side. I then used radial filters in Lightroom and burning in Photoshop to create the image. It took some experimenting. |

Beautiful shot, everything here works together: the sky, shadows, and light. The branches and shadows all flow from the trunk itself, and keeps our attention there. |

I love the way that you see things on your walks and use them to make creative images. The color does separate the shadows from the walkway, I agree with Paul about leaving it as a color image. |

How cool this is! Creative use of the sun filter to illuminate the light from the statue's hand and add mystery and drama. |

A stunning shot, with a beautiful golden cast. The contrasting sun rays with the shadows make this image special. |

Great patterns created by the shadows, it gives a graphic look to the photo. I like the placement of the fence itself off to the side and the use of DOF to highlight the fence. |

Interesting shot with the light creating a backlit effect on the subject. It looks really old, like something from an old photo from the early 1900s. The blur around the subject adds to the impact of the picture. |
