Hi, Kathaleen,
Thank you for your comments. I think the DOF was so sharp because it was a cell phone picture, taken without any applied settings by me. When I shoot flowers with my usual camera, I usually do not shoot wide open, but at f/11 or higher, depending on the lighting available. |

Beautiful detail, and it certainly is yellow! The subject placement allows us to distinguish a pattern within the individual patterns of the flowers. |

The yellow finch is one of my favorites...how lucky that he is at your feeder! The branch is a great lead in to the subject, and the bird has a beautiful expression on his face. |

Great detail in the rope that adds to the intricacy of the subject. The color really pops against the background and the boat. Cloning the upper left corner would remove the black area from the photo. |
