Thanks for the comment Gene, however I am not into post-editing or using PS. A few tweaks with Snapseed is all I do. |

As Tim said, the B&W treatment works well here. You get a sense of the smooth as well as rough leaves that you would find in such a place. |

Again, peeling paint works well for texture. I like the diagonals which work as leading lines. |

Tree bark is great for texture and this works well with the light falling onto different parts of the tree. The B&W treatment enhances the effect. |

The different types of stonework are shown well here. You also get the old, ragged wooden doors. |

Stone walls like this are good for texture. To really show the texture though it needs stronger shadows from above or the side to illustrate the depth of the sones.
I was intrigued by the 'sketchuptexture.club' watermark in the middle. Was this an image that you submitted somewhere else? |
