A small town with a big sense of humour. The colours on the sign are displayed well against the red sand. Nicely positioned too. |

Is this the one in Texas? I've driven past it, if it is. The two signs, for Texaco and the Petrified Wood Station, stand out very well. |

I immediately recognised it as a shell but more to do with the petrol company 'Shell'. I like the inclusion of the feet, using the shell sign almost as a pointer. |

Love the vibrant colours that you get from neon, especially on a wet evening. The technique that you have applied gives it that 'wet night' feel.
Interestingly, when we were on Route 66 back in 2023 there were quite a few places replacing/updating their neon with more neon, preferring to keep to the traditional lighting rather than introducing LEDs. |

You can't beat the colours and textures from an old metal sign. |

A good juxtaposition of the two signs in both their message and their colour. I like the way that the main sign is nice and sharp and the background is slightly blurred and dull. |
