Even though he has his head to us, the guy in the front definitely feels like the focus of the image, from both the photographer's and the guests point of view. It is good to see them all enjoying themselves, as you would hope at a party. |

It definitely gives that feel of a party with many people, chatting and eating, oblivious to the guy with the camera. The leading lines to the guy standing up, work well. |

He certainly looks like somebody who would enjoy himself. I'm not sure whether painting out the arm and head has worked, as you have been left with a very bland, white sky. For people photos, especially at parties, you are going to get different parts invading the image. |

Gorgeous soft effect. The blending of the multiple exposures has worked very well. |

Tim, the people are all in the bottom part of the photo. |

Party colours, especially for a little girl, and very light feel. A lovely expression too. I'm sure that she would have been very pleased with that photo. |

I'm sure that they wouldn't mind you using their photo.
I notice the guy is wearing a tie, so it was either a quite formal party, or just the way he was back then. These days, men seldom wear ties unless they have a particular formal job. I know that I stopped wearing a tie to work, unless it was for a particular occasion, about 10 years before I retired. |

She always enjoyed a party! :)
Do you mean this type of photo viewer? I've still got a couple knocking about the place. |

This is the Kodak disk camera, very similar to the one(s) that I had. There was a stall near me at work who used to get these in stock quite often. They were cheap to buy as they often did not work. However, they were very simple to fix as there was little that went wrong - a stuck flash, a dodgy shutter release button etc. If they could not be easily fixed then I could usually cannibalise bits from one camera and to put into another, to make one working camera. I would then sell them onto friends and workmates for twice (or more) what I paid for them. :) |
