13 Nov 21 Reply Thanks Barbara. We were fortunate that it was one of those places that give a good deal of information. It was quite hazy that day which may be what is adding to the dream-like quality. Nov 20th
13 Nov 21 Reply Thank you Russell. It was a nice area to explore. Nov 20th
13 Nov 21 Reply I thought that you'd appreciate it Tim. Picked especially for you. :) Nov 20th
13 Nov 21 Comment Great composition and the slow shutter has helped to not only capture that milky water flow but also bring out the deep rich colours of the surrounding rock and vegetation. Great image! Nov 20th
13 Nov 21 Comment I love the colours here, especially in the bottom half. The addition of the brown leaves mirrors the gold/brown in the water. I agree with the others that it has a very abstract feel, again, especially that bottom half. Nov 20th
13 Nov 21 Comment This just screamed Japanese garden before I even read the title. Nicely composed and there are lovely colours throughout including the touch of colour in the reflection. Nov 20th
13 Nov 21 Comment I like your little manmade waterfall. The sharp angles of the bricks contrast well with the curves in the water and of the grasses. The B&W treatment and the slightly slow shutter makes for a great image. Nov 20th
13 Nov 21 Comment Welcome Russell. We plan to do a West Coast drive soon and Yosemite is on our list of places to visit.
This is sort of view that you think of when you hear Yosemite. I like the idea of this 'thin' waterfall which I imagine grows bigger and faster when the rains have been. The blue sky and green firs frame it well.

13 Nov 21 Comment As I mentioned, in the 'About' for my photo, this was in the running to be my image this month.
I like the fact that you've filled the frame with the water and the top of the Falls. You've done well with exposure to retain texture in the falling water. I don't know if it is a little soft or whether it's just the tremendous amount of spray that gets into the air but it works for me.
