Thanks for the comments Paul. As for the manipulation, you'll soon see that I do very little. I like to capture the image, as best I can from the camera/phone, to minimise the need to crop or tweak afterwards.
Until earlier this year, I was happy just using Photoshop CS3 when I was a member of a 'proper' camera club. I cannot get it to renew anymore though, so am currently just using GIMP. However, the majority of photos that I use in places like this are taken with my Samsung S8 mobile phone and tweaked, if necessary, using the Snapseed app. I have been taking a photo a day since 1st January 2015 and the phone is the best way that I can do this. The 'big' camera is used when I want to do trips and projects. |

Welcome Paul. I read your bio and good to see you getting into photography and wanting to learn. We're a friendly bunch here, have different skill levels and we learn from each other.
This is an amazing cloud formation and there are some great colours there.
My only suggestion would be to crop out the bit of foliage bottom right. |

This is one of those scenes that you cannot go wrong with. I wold imagine that you could just watch this, in awe, before remembering that you were going to take photos of it! |

A gorgeous sunset Pam. I love the silhouettes at the bottom. There's almost a mini image there alone. A nice range of orange shades throughout as well.
My only suggestion wold be to crop some of the sky down to make it a little more of a panorama. Although I appreciate that the subject of this is 'Dramatic Skies'. |

An interesting image Tim. A very graphic image and one that could be used as an icon for something that needed some fireworks, or perhaps even some flowers. |
