This has real wow impact. It made me stop and look and inspect it, to see exactly what was going on. Always a good thine with a photo. The use of minimum colour plus the subtle effects of colour brought out by the filter works extremely well. Obviously, two of the girsl stand out quite prominently, where as the third girl is a little more difficult to recognise. Very nicely done Kathy.
I agree with Richard that a crop is required although only for 'tidying up' more than anything. |

A very interesting take on the theme and, in these days, an all too common sentiment. The use of B&W makes the image have a journalistic feel which works well. |

I visited a couple of trading posts while we were on holiday out in Phoenix a number of years ago, but none were as derelict as this one.
Again, I agree with Kathy in that the empty windows with the landscape behind them, give a very surreal view of the landscape, as she says a 'picture in picture'. |

A great image and not one you would often see, as abandoned boats usually find themselves sunk! I agree with Kathy in that the colours work very well to indicate when and where this photo was likely to have been taken.
I particularly like the touch of red on the side of the boat which makes my race with ideas on how it got there! :) |

Definitely worth more visits I think. The walls are being propped up, so you could get some interesting abstracts from poking your camera through the gate railings.
Meets the subject though and works well as B&W. The only thing that I would say is that I would have cropped off some of the foreground, as I don't think it really adds anything to the image and possibly some of the blown sky. |
