Ella, thank you for your comments. I shall look at a vignette.
There is a lot of seaweed at this location but finding an isolate and photogenic example can be difficult. Interestingly, last week in Wales there were many rocks but no seaweed... |

Ian, thank you for your comments. I do occasionally look for shapes among the seaweeds but usually unsuccessfully! This specimen just asked to be captured. |

Ella, what an interesting combination of shapes!
Very well seen and processed. Your viewpoint was perfect.
I feel that it might be be an improvement to remove the structure at the top right, but it does serve to frame the image. I am in two minds about this. |

Susan, Michael Kenna is an influential photographer. Your image also reminds me of the work of Shinzo Maeda. This is a beautiful study of the tree. I am almost wishing for a substantial fall of snow at home, something which is very rare nowadays. |

Michael, a super little church very well shown in it's location. I like the way the church and the hill in the background compliment each other. |

Peter, your superb image says so much about Scotland.
The rugged landscape, the weather and the little solid church standing alone. I love the contrasting diagonals. |

Ian, an image which shows the nature and necessity of North Sea defences very well. I have never been to Filey but I have made a similar image much nearer home. As well as showing the defences, tis is an interesting study in shapes. |
