Ella, an interesting subject for mono but I do see that it is a good subject for conversion.
On my laptop it is quite dark so it may benefit from a touch more brightness.
This is a good study of the species, a species which does not appear in my butterfly guid so probably does not appear in Europe. That makes the image even more interesting to me.

Susan, a good introduction to the group.
The composition is strong with the 'v' shape.
I agree with Peter's comments and his version is stronger.
You have an image here which is well worth pusuing.

Nick, the waterfall is well shown.
I do actually like both versions of the image.
Perhaps the cropped version helps by removing the bright areas on the rockface which could be said to distract from the water. |

The landing craft adds extra interest.

I did raise the contrast but it was necessary to protect the highlights.
