Ella, still life is a difficult genre but you have certainly nailed it here.
As has been said already, the wooden block does detract slightly but one can only use what is at hand.
I wonder if a suitably old book may be better.
Or perhaps a few old film boxws.
I have an Ensign Selfix 820 which is an old folder and, on seeing this image, I did have a play with but I failed to produce an image a s good as yours. However that old Ensign does produce excellent 6x9 transparencies! |

The foerground is excellent.
As others have suggested, I would crop the sky as it dominates the image too much. |
