I was browsing through some editions of 'Best of Friends' when I came across another of your images of this car!

Welcome to the world of Sony!
A super spiky plant just made for mono.
I have been plagued by halos for a while and it they may have contributed to a run of poor exhibition results.
However you may be right about the cause here being from the backlighting.
It does not soil the image for me. I like the shot.
(Do judges know about such things?) |

Ed, I am always impressed when a member of our group submits a still life image as they
are always so good!
And here we have another image which I am impressed by.
To take such humble items and to combine them into such an image is to be applauded.
I actually like the little old weighing gizmo. |

Michael an intriguing treatment which I feel has enhanced the image.
I understand where Peter is coming from re the sky but, for me, the top of the sky seems to balance nicely with the water. |

I can remember scooters long before such madness started!
I can remember BSA and Sunbeam scooters and I once had can NSU Prima myself.
A good subject for mono.
We are always told to use the light and here you have certainly done that! |

A great subject for monochrome and very well handled as we have come to expect.
I have seen many pictures of this car but most do not come close to this one. |

Thanks Ian, it was a very bright day, probably far too bright for landscape! |

Thanks Peter, I do find sometimes that the my images do seem to lose something on the website. I will take your suggestions on board as they do enhance the image. |
