31 Jun 20 Comment Ella, what an excellent landscape.

I find this to be an immersive image in that I like to wander through to see what little details I can find.

Great stuff!

31 Jun 20 Comment Paul, what an amazingly good image!

Many have tried to produce images such as this but very very few can get anywhere near this one.

I am extremely impressed.

The two shadows of the grille are wonderful.

31 Jun 20 Comment Michael, I am extremely impressed to see someone making good use of large format film.
I myself still use film occasionally but never above medium format!

You have chosen a difficult subject here but you have produced a super image of that subject.

31 Jun 20 Comment An interesting subject these weird lumps of concrete!
And an interesting story behind them.

Will we see any images of these beautiful beaches?

31 Jun 20 Comment Like many photographers who attempt to produce landscape images, I have a few AA books.
This image would, I feel, not look at all out of place in one of those books!

31 Jun 20 Reply Ed, thanks for that.
The experiment continues.....

Out of 75 images made a few days ago, I kept only one.

31 Jun 20 Reply Michael, the purpose of the image was not to represent grass but to be some sort of impression of grass.
Perhaps the title is not correct?

31 Jun 20 Reply Ella thank you.

I shall certainly play about with this image and also try to make some more good abstracts. ICM is fun but not at all easy to achieve anything worth while.

31 Jun 20 Reply I reckon hair is a reasonable interpretation!
Mop perhaps?
Hay bale I find surreal.............
But then I photographed hay bales today.......

And, of course, the image did not work out as it was supposed to appear.
The impressionism went a bit too far, and that is sometimes how great images occur.
It actually turned out better than it was supposed to be.

Incidentally, one of my most successful images (20 acceptances) is all down to things going awry when I processed the film!

31 Jun 20 Reply Thanks for that. Not everyone appreciates non-representational images.
A vignette sounds worth trying.
I will certainly play about with the image.
