Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
31 Feb 20 Reply Thomas Heaton? Wow!
My main inspiration was probably Charles Cramer, with also a bit of Freeman Patterson and Duncan McEwan!.

31 Feb 20 Comment Ella, I often come across old fences like this one but I never seem to capture them as well as you have done here.
Well seen, well photographed and very well processed.

31 Feb 20 Comment Paul, as Ella says, the reflection is such a bonus.
To me it almost looks as though the structure is melting into the foreground and flowing off into oblivion.........

31 Feb 20 Comment Ed, a subject which just cries out to be photographed.
Especially when photographed well as you have done here.
The positioning of the subject in the frame is perfect.

31 Feb 20 Comment Michael, once again welcome to the Group. You certainly seem to be fitting in very well indeed.
Infra-red is not something I have tried myself but I am always impressed with the results it produces when used by competent exponents. WIth there now being two such people in the Group perhaps it is something to look into.

31 Feb 20 Reply Having Ansel Adams mentioned in a comment re one of my images will go down as a highlight of the year! The sharpness comment is interesting.
I may return to the scene and use a more suitable body and lens which could help matters.
As a grab shot while ostensibly doing bird photography this image is surprisingly successful.

31 Feb 20 Reply I shall investigate a vignette. Thanks for that suggestion. Feb 10th
31 Feb 20 Reply I agree about the right hand tree, especially as I now see that it has an irritating highlight. I now need to assess the other images I made that day. Feb 10th
31 Feb 20 Comment Peter, as usual another superb landscape image.
Your extremely competent use of CEP is interesting and there are some ideas here which I should try myself.
Inspiring stuff!

31 Feb 20 Comment Ian, another excellent portrait. You have captured the character of your subject so well that I almost feel that I know her! Feb 10th
31 Feb 20 Reply Stephen, You are so right.
I have many images from attempts to achieve this, but most just do not work.
