The shadows do help greatly.
For me the most important part of the composition is the off-centre angled viewpoint which works very well.
Perhaps the trees are less than perfect but they do not spoil the image for me. |

Each time I view this image I cannot help smiling!
Your timing to get the guy with one foot raised was just perfect.
I would play with Peter's suggestions. |

This reminds me of some of my Scottish images.
Like those images I feel that this would be better as a colour image, as long as there is sufficient colour contrast.
Having said that, it does work for me as a mono image.
Perhaps more work on the contrast could help somewhat. |

A super intriguing image.
I rather like the bright door as it helps guide my eye to the direction the nurse is heading.
An excellent and unusual image. |

I have passed this church by more than once.
I should have stopped; several successful images made a short distance away but not the church.
Excellent composition, the separation between the tree and the building is so important. I also feel that the leaning headstone in the foreground adds much to the composition.
Great stuff! |

Well done for spotting this little shot.
It is so easy to just wander past such subjects.
The image is fine for me as it stands. |

I did wonder about the foreground but decided to wait and see what the Group thought about it!
I agree about the contrast. |
