Great work Gloria! Indeed, very different from your usual style I very much like the petals' emphasis of their folds. Very interesting. I find the leaves on the right side perhaps need a tad more definition--very much like the leaf on top left. I like that most because the flower is very "realist" as is that leaf but the others are different in style. Nothing wrong with that, only caught my eyes asking what's missing. |

Wonderful technique Elinor! Very unique. I love everything about it except--I think--I would have removed all the green since you removed most of it. I wonder what it would look like without? I love the stucco look and the softness of the flower emerging from the harshness of the background. |

I enjoy the flower petals Gerhard. It seems to me that the background is like water so the rose seems to float in a river--that is the feel of it for me. Nicely done. |

Interesting Tom. Great variations. I agree with everyone. To me your final image--which does appear as a pencil drawing--looks best. It does lack detail but I think that matches up with your looking out of the picture--leaves some mystery.. sort of Western style. I hope you were wearing boots! :)
Over all it is a very nice effect. Pleasing to my eyes. |
