Lovely work Gloria. There are some spots on the left and the left top of the art that I think are accidental. I have a little trouble with the shadow. The pot had vertical lines and the shadow horizontal. Not sure how that happened. It almost seems like the pot is on a glass table and this is a reflection but the lines are in the wrong angle.
Love your flowers and the leaves! perfectly done. |

Nicely done Elinor. Clearly you are as good with your left hand as you are with the right. :) I hope you heal fast and with no pain.
In terms of the looser style: I like it. I only have one little observation: I am having a hard time deciding what medium this painting is now in. The looseness and softness implies impressionistic oil, the strokes more like watercolor but the whole paper is covered so it is not watercolor. In other words, I am missing a definitive medium that I can call this painting on: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, etc., not sure what this would fall under. |

Nicely done Gerhard. I like how you brought more color into your photo with the painting. My only observation is about the flowers up front. While on a photo it is expected to have the foreground blurred if the focus is on an object in the background, that is not the case in a painting. There are a couple of flowers out of focus that could use a bit of touch-up to get them in focus or alternatively make the foreground a blur in general. Either woudl work I think. |

Very interesting Tom. It gives a hint of the American Flag to me... so mirage I suppose. Very unique. I enjoy it very much. |
