20 Jun 20 Comment The girl is nice though I cannot understand why you should want to remove texture from her dress. The background however is too flat. It needs contrast to bring it to life. Jun 9th

20 Jun 20 Comment This has too much colour to my mind making it meaningless. I would suggest adding contrast to the original to emphasise shadows and then just a touch of colour to imply rust and age. Great possibilities here. Worth working on. Jun 9th

54 Jun 20 Comment How about adding drama? A bunch of Cyclists coming down too fast on the left with one not making round the bend but shooting off towards the waves, preferable still in the air about to land in the water! Jun 9th
54 Jun 20 Comment Interesting idea but what disturbs me most is the brightness of the room. It has no shadows so the roof is still on upon which it should be darker and more sinister. This would emphasise the blue sky shown in the doorway. Jun 9th

54 Jun 20 Comment A good idea well done except for the artificial wall which has no depth. I find the boy's face is too dark loosing its contours.(Your grandchildren certainly are enjoying themselves.) Great idea - says a lot. Jun 9th

Agree about the shadow as suggested by Kathy but I agree with Alan and would leave the bright spot but I would also add a thin line along that edge of the book to make it stand out from the background. Alternatively put in a background say very dark green grass. Great picture. Jun 9th
