Barbara, you flatter me for it was Nick who first introduced me to Painter many years ago. This is a very difficult portrait Nick is attempting to do as the mouth and nose are in deep shadow. I agree with Oliver that the brush is a little large for such a smooth rendition. Unfortunately the head has become lengthened and the colours are a little bland. Perhaps a coarser painting effect would have helped bring out the character of the man. |

Strangely enough Cindy I did try several textures but it immediately killed the simplicity of the rays of light. So I left them off. |

One inspired composition. Van would have been delighted. |

What a dazzling pair of shoes. And those heels! Surely anyone wearing those would have trouble keeping her balance! The simplicity of your background is just perfect, the shoes themselves are stunning enough and don't need an elaborate layout. excellent. |

This makes me feel sorry for the flowers - they love rain! A fascinating picture complete with an element of humour. Great |

Your rendition has given this a real old fashioned poster effect. Very interesting combination of buildings too. Great. |

An interesting flower and your treatment has made it look like a painting. The second flower looks like a shadow on the wall behind and gives a good effect. I like the background too, Very good. |

You certainly have managed to take the best out of this filter to achieve a very interesting picture. Interesting added shadows. Not sure about the effect in the sky though. |

You have some lovely elements but somehow they don't quite make it for me. Sadly I find the out of focus effect does not convey movement, and must say I prefer the bird in the original. The effect you seem to strive for is a dreamy, mood type picture But that clashes with the title - escape is harsh and brutal. |

I like this very much - the idea and the execution. There is a bit too much nothingness in such a wide top to the overall picture - perhaps the central flags/people could have been raised just a little higher? Otherwise an excellent image. |

Do you want to give us nightmares Aavo? Grrr - enough to make us shudder! Seriously, nice idea and the ghosts are very good; I feel something should have been done to the house to make it more ghostly - lights shining out or a face in the window or???? It needs to blend in with the two in the car. |
