A fascinating lamp and certainly better upsidedown as a picture. I like the colours added too but agree with the comments above that the frame colour is not of the best. However I do like a frame, I find it finishes the image off properly turning it into a picture. In this case Cindy's more elaborate frame adds something to this rather plain subject - but please put the top back on! |

I too like this textured background a lot but I would like it to come up to the building with none of the blue. In fact I would start with making that paper all over and then adding the building on another layer on top of it, using layer mask. I feel the painting of the building should also have more vibrant colours, more like the original, as a painter would do, and without the white "splodges". The vegetation adds the finishing touch. A painterly filter to that layer would hopefully bring the effect you are looking for. Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick. |

That poster edges filter certainly gives a dramatic effect to the stonework. Very interesting. I like it. |

Sadly I find the girl's stance somewhat ungainly. Love the trees and the nest and the lighting certainly adds to effect. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the story you allude to but it makes for an interesting picture. |

Maybe it is the insect which is frightened and getting away from the chicken? But then the proportions are wrong as it should be the chicken which is the larger.... Nevertheless I love the image, the effect you have achieved in adding picture one to two and the dramatic and starc hand in front. Wonderful concept - just not quite a clear story. |

An interesting idea and certainly well done however I think you could have added a little more realism by changing the position of each of the praying men just slightly instead of leaving them so obviously repeated. Just an idea. |

A fascinating idea and well put together - as Brad says many nice stories can be interpreted out of this picture. My only small crit is that the glass and the girl are not blended into the grass and are missing shadows. That poor elephant cannot stand holding the glass up in the air all day! |

Oh dear, outside the skies are grey and miserable and I was looking for something to cheer me up and instead your clever picture reflected my mood exactly. She looks and feels as desolate as me. Beautifully done Peggy, it conveys the mood of the title exactly. Very clever. |
