51 Mar 26 Reply Not sure I can help you remotely. I'm not having the same experience.

51 Mar 26 Reply Thank you, Lynne. As you point out, the shadows change as the sun moves across the sky. I collected images from seating, tables, stairs, and metal fences. This exercise was a new way for me to look at my surroundings. It also encouraged me to shoot in bright sunlight - which I might have otherwise avoided.

51 Mar 26 Comment It's always good to try experiments. That's how we learn new things. It's interesting that the top and bottom margins still appear dark blue or maybe purple after a BW conversion.

51 Mar 26 Reply The "shadows" photobook project was a challenge and a learning experience, too. An artist friend helped me with the editing. This image was not included in the book, maybe due to some of the things you mentioned.

As a side note: One of my shadow photos was selected for exhibition at Praxis Gallery Aug 23 - Sept 13 last year. It received an Honorable Mention.

51 Mar 26 Reply I do remember the Shmoos! I was given a white balloon in the Shmoo shape that had big posterboard feet so it would stand. I hadn't thought about that for many years. Thanks for the memories!

51 Mar 26 Comment Looks like some serious work going on in your back garden. It's good that we have serious workers do tasks like that. There's no fooling around with power!

51 Mar 26 Comment Sounds like you've had quite a bit of snow there!

The use of the reflection in the car's mirror is good. It made me think of the book "America by Car" by Lee Friedlander. Nice work.

51 Mar 26 Comment Looks like Big Photos may do a good job of upscaling an image. It would be good to see the section of the original image for a comparison.

51 Mar 26 Comment That's quite a vista. Great clouds and greenery. Not sure what you wanted to do with the background ridge, but short of using some masking in Photoshop, it would be difficult to bring out more detail there. I think this may be a case of needing more than a mobile device to get more out of the image.

51 Mar 26 Comment I like your photo. The reflections are good and that little bit of color on the emblems adds interest. Nicely done. This is more of a portrait format than you ordinarily use, and it works well for this scene.
