Thank you. I agree that clouds would have been a nice addition to the shot. In this semi-arid climate, though, the sky is often free of clouds, so we just have to forge ahead without them.

Thanks. I'm not motivated to upgrade my iPhone, so I guess I'll miss that update. The problem for me is that iPhones are so expensive that I can buy a mirrorless camera for a similar amount, and that is a better proposition to me.

Thank you. It was an unexpected find. I was shooting with my DSLR and realized it was a great time to pull out the iPhone, too.

Thank you. It was just one of those unexpected finds that created an opportunity. Bright sky, no wind, and no people, although someone rode a bike across the bridge before I could get the 'phone out of my pocket.

Thank you for your comments. I agree that the foreground rock adds a lot to the photo. The pool was very still and that provided those nice reflections.

Thanks for asking for a clarification. I used the term "portrait mode" to mean vertical orientation. I realize now that it was a confusing way of putting it. I'll be more precise in the future.

This sort of image is a nice travel photo that helps to remind the traveler of certain moments in the adventure. So, that's good. I think the viewer who wasn't there may not feel the impact, or what the photo actually represents.
If the focus of the image is the colorful clothing hanging on the lines, then I agree that a vignette to reduce all that brightness surrounding the clothing would be good. I might think about a little straightening and a crop, too. I think you have to decide what the point of the photo is and then edit to support that.

What a great adventure. That's an amazing part of the USA. You had this encounter with a bear, too. I suppose the bear was less likely to be aggressive as long as it was getting food. I'd say, "feed the bear!" I had the same thought as Jerry. The bear looks like it is smiling.
Nice shot. You made the most of the opportunity.

A symmetrical image with lots to see. Repeating shapes and colors. The balcony with the bright colors is a pleasant surprise. Nicely seen and photographed.

Another interesting experiment. Sounds like you have a solution for a more uniform exposure.

Nicely done. The darker background pushes the sculpture forward for the viewer. Nice warm colors across the image.
I tried Pi but found that my iPhone 14 got quite hot within 30 seconds. An acquaintance reported that his iPhone actually alerted to an overheating condition while using Pi. While it does add a level of controls to the iPhone camera, I'm not convinced it will be widely used unless the overheating can be resolved.
