Thank you. I agree about having three, or maybe another odd number of, items is better composition. In this case, it was also good fortune because there were just three bike racks.

Thank you. It has been a new and interesting way of looking at my surroundings. Making a book helps to keep me focused (no pun intended) on a single topic, too.

Thank you, Jerry. Shadow photos are a new way of seeing my surroundings. It has been challenging and entertaining to capture them.

Thank you. I hadn't noticed the AAA part of the image. That made me smile.

Thank you. It has been a new way of looking at my surroundings. I've been shooting with a DSLR most of the time, so the number of shadow images I can show in this forum is limited. I'll try to post another one next month.
I've started assembling a 5x5 Blurb photobook with these shadow images. I have nearly enough to fill the book, but I'd like to find a few more - as in better ones - before I finish it. I have a few specific images I'd like to include, but I haven't found them yet. It's entertaining.

Both subjects have the same color palette, so that worked out nicely. The lighting is pretty flat, so no added shadow was necessary. I haven't used Superimpose X or Image Blender, so have no clue what else - if anything - might have been possible. Nice experiment.

There's a real feeling of the great expanse of the area. Without the other person, it might feel a little lonely, too.
I don't think I could suggest much of a change to the image. I might try a graduated darkening from the bottom to about where the person is standing. It isn't easy to get a smooth grade with Snapseed, so maybe just a vignette. Just something to lower the brightness of the foreground and push the viewer's eyes up into the image.

What a great tree! All those branches and roots suggest age and survival. The roots are like fingers gripping the earth. I definitely agree that nature is amazing.
Just FYI: My iPad says it's a European Beech, but other than that I'm no help.

Interesting idea. These days most images are shaped to fit the TV or computer screen, so they are horizontal. For a mobile device, though, a vertical format may be a better way.
I like the roadway leading us into and through the image to the bright spot in the middle.
Jerry's comment may be the best solution for future shots. An alternative might be to start the exposure on the clouds and then pan down to the road. The lower area would be underexposed, but that's easier to work with than blown out areas.

Good to hear your health issues are improving. Hope full recovery is near.
Self-portraits are a good idea, although some Americans of a certain age may be reluctant to do it. I once suggested to my local club that a self-portrait challenge could be fun. There was a lot of head nodding, but no one actually did it. Thanks for sharing your selfie.
