Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
51 May 25 Reply Thank you. It is a street scene, and that isn't something I usually photograph. I came across it while on a Sunday morning walk and I thought it was worth a snap.

51 May 25 Reply I agree. There is a lot going on in this image so it could be considered busy. I think that since the objects are essentially all the same, it helps to calm the image. Thank you for your comments.

51 May 25 Reply You're right, it would be a great jigsaw puzzle! I hadn't thought of that. Many faces to sort through. Thanks for your comments.

51 May 25 Reply I may not understand your comments about judges, so maybe you can help me. Are you suggesting that the judges you know think photographers should never use a shallow DoF? Thanks!

51 May 25 Comment I like the composition. The soft red in the background attracts my eyes, and then I focus on the bamboo and the knot. The angle of the bamboo adds energy. If the bamboo was parallel with the frame, it wouldn't be as effective. It's a nice contemplative shot.

51 May 25 Comment Great capture. Flowers can be difficult to shoot in a new and interesting way, but you found a great angle to isolate the beauty of these tulips. The petals are translucent from this angle; the bright colors and shadows add much to the shot. Good stuff.

51 May 25 Comment Nice seashore scene: the people, the rocks, the birds, the wet doggo, and the expanse of the ocean. There is interest in the foreground, the middle, and in the distance, so it's complete. It looks like a nice day out. I'm sure I would have enjoyed being there.

51 May 25 Comment It does look like a slice of bacon. It's an interesting rock formation. Since I have not been to the location, it's a bit difficult for me to understand size or orientation, so I find it a little abstract. Maybe that's what you intended.

51 May 25 Comment I like the way you included the space between the cars so we can see traffic has stopped on the other side of the tracks. I also like that the red warning light is illuminated. I think the power lines look natural, so I agree with leaving them in the shot. The bare trees and the sky provide a feeling of winter weather. I like it.
