51 Apr 25 Reply Thanks, Sol. That's a good interpretation of the scene.

51 Apr 25 Reply Thank you, Jerry. I was a fun photo-walk with the club members. A photo review a week later showed how each member can see the same locations in different ways. It's great.

51 Apr 25 Reply Thank you. I agree that the window is better in this position. I wanted to get both of those eyes (actually, all three) in the frame.

51 Apr 25 Reply Thanks, Lynne. The wall is quite long, and a local artist painted a mural the entire length. I think there are a four or five of those little windows down the wall. Each window has a potted plant, but this window had the best one in my opinion. It was a Sunday morning, and they were not open, so I'm unable to report on the quality of the coffee. :-)

51 Apr 25 Comment This image is a good interpretation of the scene and captures the object very well. The portrait mode did a good job of isolating the subject from the background. Nice colors, good lighting, and a good crop, too. Nice shot.

51 Apr 25 Comment As I mentioned for Jerry's photo this month, I like black and white and I often use leading lines, so this work appeals to me. Cropping-in improved the scene for me, too, because it makes me feel like I'm in the scene, rather than just looking down the path. I think the vignette might be a little too much, but that's personal taste, and it may just be the preset results. Nice shot.

51 Apr 25 Comment I have to admit that my first reaction to this shot was that it must have been taken at a historical site in Germany. Your description corrected me, of course, but there still is a real sense of history and drama in your image. The lighting is great, and the tracks lead us visually into the depth of the scene. Nicely seen and captured.

51 Apr 25 Comment When I first saw this image, I thought those spot shadows might have been animal tracks, just as Lynne suggested. So, I might have cropped it differently, but it's fine the way you've edited it. The warmer color temperature does seem to change the season to fall. The leading line make one want to follow the path into the scene. Nice.

51 Apr 25 Comment I like black and white images, and I frequently use leading lines, so this image definitely works for me. I might have tried flipping the image horizontally to place the start of the leading line in the lower left corner, but that might not have improved the image. It's an interesting perspective, too, with the sun blocked by the tree so the shadows point back to the camera and the brightest part is at the end of the path. Nicely done.
