Thank you. I haven't checked to see if the phones work, but I imagine they do since they are in a medical space. I liked the light and shadow, too. I think that was emphasized with the BW conversion. The color version is mostly industrial beige.

Thank you, Rita. I've passed the spot many times because my doctor's office is on an upper floor of the building. I thought the scene might suggest loneliness or isolation, especially in BW. I'm please most of our Group got it.

Thank you. I'm pleased the image brought back a memory - even if it was about some frustration.
It's a pretty well-run building, so I imagine the phones do work. I think the buttons on the right phone are for internal communication. The other may reach outside. I don't know. I'll look more closely when I go there again.

Thank you. The phone on the right does have a number of buttons. I didn't look closely, so I can't be sure what they are for. The medical building is quite large and contains many areas of specialty, so I imagine they are one-touch connections to them. Next time I go there, I'll take a closer look.

The ice makes the shot very interesting. It is an unexpected scene since I don't associate rose flowers with icy cold.
Good use of depth of field, too. Nice capture.

It looks like a fun time skating on the ice. The people spread out over the ice keeps my eyes moving around the image. Nice colors. The dogs almost look like they posed for you. Nice winter scene. Nice catch.

He looks like he just came from the Hairdresser's shop. I like light and shadow of black and white, so I like the conversion. I'll look into the JixiPix app. Thanks for the tip.

Nice winter scene that conveys the cold - maybe not -10 though! I like the snow laying on the branches. it emphasizes the many shapes and sizes. I wonder if you thought about a black and white conversion. The contrast might suit this topic.
Stay warm!

Thank you, Jerry. I try to make interesting images, but I don't always manage to do it.
In regard to frames, as I mentioned to a member in December, Snapseed's frame function is destructive. It starts at the edge of the image and moves inward, essentially cropping the image. I don't like to use it because I don't plan for that extra crop when I edit.

Thank you. These days I'm trying to challenge myself with the idea that photography can "make the unseen, seen." In this place, there may be a lot to see. The phones, as you point out, with the twisted or untwisted cords, and the asymmetric shape of the shadows. Notice, too, that there is a dark stripe adjoining the worksurfaces which is likely due to the regular sanitizing and wiping. The story would be improved if there was someone using one of the phones, but that didn't happen while I was there.

Nice colorful and peaceful scene. The notch in the foreground leads the viewer's eyes into the scene. The ocean looks vast as it rolls out before the viewer. The photo may be a little over-saturated, but that's a quibble. I think shooting from a lower angle might have improved it, but I wasn't there to see the obstructions nearer the ground.
Your question about the composition is valid. In my opinion the photo lacks a central point of focus. The water is so calm it isn't especially interesting. The sun is so high that it is out of the frame. There isn't a fascinating foreground object. A boat out on the water, for example, would have added scale and context.
Just my opinion.

Very nice. The more common shot of the canopy is completely vertical, so this composition adds new interest. As Richard mentioned, the trunks create a strong leading line into the image. Nice colors, too. I'll have to try this method once the leaves return to the trees here.
