Thank you, Lynne. I agree that the edits suggested by Pam do improve the result. It's good to get feedback from others who have an understanding of composition.

Thanks, Jerry. I do like a border. I think it's a nostalgia thing and, as you mentioned, printed images generally have a border to allow for framing.

Thanks. I do like to add a border as I explained to Rita below. Pam suggested a tighter crop and background blur. I tried it and liked it. You can see the updated photo below.

Thank you, Rita. I like placing a border on my images. I think it's because I'm old enough to remember getting photos back from the drug store that were printed that way. It's a comfort thing for me.

Good suggestions. I tried edits via PS since I didn't think I could do it another way. PS mobile is pretty good, but I'm not as fluent with it as I am with regular PS. Cropping-in places the bee in the upper right third intersection. Darkening and blurring the background does bring focus to the blossom and the bee.
Thanks

Welcome to the Group!
I like your image. To address your question: I usually try to have leading lines move from lower left to the middle or just right of middle. However, my leading lines are often wandering a bit - like a stream or gravel path. (You might go through the images I've contributed in the past to see what I mean.) In the case of a straight line like RR tracks, center to horizon works.
As Dick mentioned, I also think the image is tilted a bit. I'd recommend rotating the image until the ties are parallel to the bottom of the frame. Should be easy with Snapseed. I'll also mention that in my opinion the colors are a little too saturated, but you were there, and I was not.

What a great sky! The sun rays add interest, and so do the spots of blue sky above. Nice colors. Glad you stopped to capture it. The halo on the peaks most is, most likely, an artifact of the edits. You might want to look through the edit steps and see where it appears.

The color palette is warm and consistent. The cat's brown fur looks soft. The viewer can feel the warmth of the sun coming in the window. In truth, I'm not as fond of cats as I am dogs, but this is a nice capture.

Shooting sports action with a mobile device is a challenge, and you were up to it. Even if the waves were smaller than expected, there is good action. The colors are good, and the inclusion of the boat adds scale and context. I like it.

I do see the "eye" in the panel. The natural light/dark shading created a 3D effect. It makes me think about a way to edit to increase the effect. I'd have to fiddle with it to see. I missed the "spider" until Jerry mentioned it. Maybe a Halloween motif would be interesting! Glad you saw the knot and shared it with us.

Another creative image, Jerry! Combining images and getting everything in scale can be a challenge. I imagine your great-grandson liked it, too. Fun stuff. I haven't had much success with Image Blender yet, so I'll have to try it again.
