Thank you, Lynne, for your kind words. I do have an unconscious habit of finding leading lines, and this location provided an opportunity.

Thank you, Jerry, for your kind words. This shot does have a nostalgic feeling. I try to make "visual narratives" - making pictures that tell a story and/or create an emotional response, but I often fail to do it.

Thanks, Dick. It does have a bit of a nostalgic feel. And keeping one's eyes on the road is especially important when there is an irrigation canal next to it!

Thanks, Pamela. The end of this road is a "nature center" that was the raptor rehabilitation center until a few years ago. The raptor center got a new larger home in a different location. They do good work.

Thank you, Sol. I was standing on the tracks when I snapped the shot. I also have some "down the tracks" snaps looking the other way. Either direction provided leading lines to draw the viewer into the scene, but I thought the sign added interest, so I chose this one to send to the group.

Amazing shot. Love it. Leading lines up from the water to the lighted structure, and across the image with the span. Nice reflections in the water. Good stuff. I'm wondering about the color balance. Is the steel really that pink, or does it just look like that due to the color temperature of the lights? The other colors look pretty good. What was your experience?

Love that sweep of clouds. Grand scale of scenery. Good stuff. My only whine is that the trees seem to be leaning in from the edges. More so on the left side. Maybe a little tilt adjustment would help a bit. Good shot.

I smiled when I read your notes. That's the truth here, too. In winter we can access the mountain trails with no worries, but in the summer, we can't find a place to park. Anyway, I like your photo. The sea looks pretty active, so I'll have to assume "tranquil" applies to the people and traffic. The birds and people add scale and context. Nice shot. I need to visit the ocean somewhere. It's been years since I've dipped a toe.

IR is an interesting way of editing an image. I'm getting more comfortable with IR images as I learn a bit more about IR photography. It's good to experiment. Looks like you are enjoying your studies as well.

I started attending the local club's Infrared Group meetings, so I'm getting more knowledgeable about the topic. I like these images. There is a lot to see and the composition is good. I'd have to say I prefer the BW a bit more. The BW has more contrast and the sepia seems a bit too bright. Good you didn't get wet!
