Thank you, Lynne. It was an early morning, and no other people were walking about, but I'm sure an observer might have wondered what/why I was photographing. We, as photographers, see things that others might not notice. At least that's what I tell myself...

Thank you, Pam. I agree that the interest in the image is the repeating shapes. The low resolution of the shrunken image blurs some detail. The push bars actually say EXIT and EXIT. I believe the doors lead to where the housekeeping folks keep their equipment and supplies, so it isn't exactly an exit, although there probably is an exit through the space.

Thank you for your comments. The photo really is about the repeating rectangle shapes, and the words are only a small part of the scene. It is entirely possible that I read more into the significance of the wording than others might.

Thank you for your comments. I hadn't thought about it quite like that, but I agree that the sign adds more than just another rectangle. It raises the question, though: Without the sign, would there still be an image there? At the moment, I think yes, but by next month I might not. Photography is about light and shadow.

It looks cold and windy. The water, the beach, and the clouds all add interest. The figures add scale and some context. These days some people will go to great lengths to get a selfie - sometimes too far - but in this case it seems harmless. Nice photo.

Nice capture of a man in action. His concentration on a spot, or whatever it is, adds interest. The viewer wants to look closely, too. The viewer can relate to the scene.

Very pretty and sharp image. Lots to see and enjoy. Well saturated colors, too. For people like me who seldom see shipping activity, it is fascinating to look at all the detail.

Thank you, Jerry, for your positive comments about this photo. I'm not entirely sure I understand them, but I'm always happy to take feedback on my work. If you could add a little more to help me understand, that would be great.
Thanks.

You are right. That's a lot of spring greenery. I like the leading lines and the arching trees. Looks like a nice place to spend some time - as long as the crowds aren't present.

It's just a coincidence that my local photo club just visited an orchid farm. So, I've seen many orchids and orchid photos in the last couple of weeks.
Generally, I'm a real fan of BW, but when I think about botanicals, I think about color. So, while the image is well composed and sharp, I think I'd prefer color.
There seems to be an issue with the bud on the right. Something must have happened in post, and it lost its expected smooth shape.

Nice sunrise image. The bright colors on the clouds are good. It's "fire in the sky." The desert plants add interest, too. I don't think the fence wire is too big of a problem, but I might have tried standing at the fence line to be sure it didn't distract. I do get the sense that the image may be tilted a bit, but that may be encouraged by the fence line sloping to the right.
