51 Jan 24 Reply Thanks, Sol. It was a scene that I liked, and I was able to capture it with my mobile.

51 Jan 24 Reply Thank you, Lynne. The clouds are what attracted me to this scene.

51 Jan 24 Reply Thanks, Pam. It was a nice day to be out. About 50 degrees F, no wind, and partly cloudy. The humidity here is low, so that's pretty comfortable - especially if one is walking quickly.

This could be a great place to do a four seasons project. I may try that. This image was taken 12/20, so more or less at the solstice. Solstice-equinox-solstice-equinox, maybe? Thanks for the idea.

51 Jan 24 Reply Thanks, Dave. It was a pleasant day to be out. The tree seemed to be pointing out those great clouds so I wouldn't miss them.

51 Jan 24 Reply Thanks, Jerry. It was just a case of seeing like a photographer, which I'm trying to do more and more.

51 Jan 24 Reply Thanks, Dick. It was just serendipity to find the scene while out walking.

51 Jan 24 Comment The leaf is sharp, and its color is complemented by the color of the texture layer. It was a good choice. I like the composition, too. The leaf is angled from lower left to upper right. A bit of the green texture may appear on the leaf, though, like in the upper right. I also think it might be good to have a bit of a shadow to give the leaf a 3D appearance. That's easy to do in Photoshop, but I haven't tried it with any other software. Nice experiment.

51 Jan 24 Comment I find Canada geese to be completely irritating. They are well-known here for slowly walking across streets in long chains and blocking traffic. But the %&*$#! things can fly, so it makes no sense... Okay, now about your photo: Your shot is a nice street scene with interest from the humans, the dogs, and the birds.

51 Jan 24 Comment Great sky, amazing place. I like the rising steam from the various places. It's another calendar shot.

51 Jan 24 Comment Lovely beach scene. The foreground rocks anchor the image and then there's all that blue water extending to the horizon. The people give scale to the image. The clouds are great, too. Nicely done. My only suggestion is to check the horizon line.

51 Jan 24 Comment Pretty neat to have this critter in your yard, and looking so relaxed, too. The deer is somewhat visually lost due to the busy pattern of the dry leaves. I think a little vignette might help to bring the viewer's eyes to the main subject.

51 Jan 24 Comment I like the "wide-open spaces" feeling in the image. It does look like a place where the wind can blow without restrictions. The sky is interesting, too. It looks like there is a storm coming - which should be good for power generation.
