51 Jul 23 Reply Thank you for your comments. It was a bit soggy that day. We had a wet spring here. We even had fog a few mornings, which is unusual in this semi-arid climate.

51 Jul 23 Reply Thank you for your comments. We had a rainy spring here - which was unusual - so I found some new and different things to photograph. I agree that rainy weather can be moody.

51 Jul 23 Comment Gosh, that's a lot of goodies. Looks like it was a good time to add a few pounds. The perspective does make it look like the man is going to dunk his donut hole in whatever is in that crockpot. At least he was using tongs! No double-dipping! Fun.

51 Jul 23 Reply Thank you for your comments. You are right, I was standing on the small bridge that crosses the stream. Happily, the bridge was high enough to keep my feet dry!

51 Jul 23 Reply Thank you for your comments. It was a good time to be out - even though it was sprinkling a bit. The stream runs through a local park, so the vegetation does diminish just outside the frame. It's still nice to be out walking.

51 Jul 23 Reply I agree. Our group members range from coast to coast, and north to south (as long as Dave is in Arizona), so the photos vary by region. It's good to see the variety.

51 Jul 23 Comment Nice colors. Interesting that the leaves are sort of muted silver, and the flower is so rich in color. It looks like some spent blossoms, some buds, and this fully open flower. I think I might suggest a little vignette to darken the edges and bring more focus to the center. Nice capture.

51 Jul 23 Comment I can't believe it was that long ago. I remember finding fine ash on my car after being parked all day at work. Of course, I'm a hundred, so it makes some sense. Your image is beautiful. Nice colors, a panoramic vista, no jet trails, and smooth water. Good stuff.

51 Jul 23 Comment Great idea! It almost looks like beachfront property. Using shooting positions other than normal eye level is something I generally don't think about. I'll try to remember to use it.

51 Jul 23 Comment Snow in southern Arizona is unusual. Nice work in finding a way to capture it. I agree with Richard that the scene somehow suggests an older age. If the modern car was replaced with a Model A sedan, that would complete the look. I like the clouds hanging over the peaks, too. The road and the lines pull the viewer into the scene.
