Thank you for your comments. I agree that it takes practice to get something interesting. I was out this morning with an old DSLR (no real concern about sharpness with ICM) trying to capture some shots. Out of a dozen tries, I may have two that could be just okay. More practice is required! I like your idea of a grove of aspens. I'll have to try that.

Thank you, Sol, for your comments. It was something to try doing with my iPhone. The results were satisfying, but not exactly amazing. I'll have to keep working on it and see if I can get better results.
Hope you and your wife are on the mend.

Thanks, Dave, for your comments. I think ICM is interesting, but it isn't for everyone. I don't think I would submit an ICM shot to a competition unless that was the requested genre.

Thank you for your comments. Like you, I've tried ICM over the years. I have some older DSLR shots that may be interesting, but I haven't stuck with it enough to make many good images. I'll keep fiddling with it occasionally and see what develops. (Pun intended.)

Thank you, Jerry, for your comments. I agree that ICM isn't as easy as it seems. I captured a number of images that I just deleted after looking at them. One issue I have with the Slow Shutter Cam app is that it doesn't keep all of the image. Not sure if I'm using it incorrectly, but the output doesn't contain the entire scene I saw on the iPhone screen, and the output is just 720x960. I'll have to keep working with it. |

Not the result any of us want but are probably destined to have. The virus isn't going to vanish, ever. Hope you and your wife are recovering quickly. Good you could participate this month in spite of the thing.

Very nice image. It makes me want to be there. I like the panoramic sweep of the scene. I also like the amount of wet beach sand you retained in the image. It's like a mirror. The stones and shells in the sand add interest. Nice colors, too.

Very nice work. I have to say, for me anyway, the edited image is much more interesting than the original. The edit has a painterly feeling, of course, which was your goal. Like Jerry, I'd like a bit more information on how you achieved the result.

Impressive capture, Jerry. I had not heard of Halide, so I'll look into it. Nice peaceful setting. Having a person looking the other way gives context without appearing to be a portrait. Great light and warm feeling, too.

Nice capture, Dave. I can hear the burner and feel the heat. The flame is well represented even if it's a bit blown out in the center - but that was a difficult exposure situation. All leading lines and the flame point to the peak of the balloon. The balloon is colorful, too. I'm sure it was a fun ride!
