Thank you for your comments. I haven't loaded any Adobe software on my iPad yet, so I have a lot to learn. I don't work in Lightroom at all, so I think Photoshop mobile will be the first thing to try.

Thank you for your comments. Simon Booth, in my opinion, has a depth of knowledge about photography and landscapes.

Thank you, Pamela. I'm pleased you liked the image. As I mentioned to Dave, I had some inspiration from Simon Booth.

Thank you, Jerry. While I thought the image was pretty good, the border lifted it off the black web page and - in my opinion - made it better. It may just be a gimmick that would be hard to duplicate with real matting.

Thanks, Dave. I learned some things about this kind of capture from a British landscape photog named Simon Booth. A lot of sharpening - more than usual - isolates and separates the leaves. The leaves were blown against a concrete wall so some of the shadows are due to that. The low sun this time of year helped to add the highlights - all of which I did enhance with software, of course. |

Thank you for your comments. I should have been clearer about how I did the matting. At one point I had an app that would add a border, but it wasn't updated when iOS updated. So, I had to use Photoshop on my laptop to do it. I'm going to learn how to use Adobe products on my iPad Pro in the near term.

Looks like a quiet and peaceful, although damp, place. It's interesting that the colors of the season are in the foreground, but there is green in the background. Lots of things to look at in this scene. It might have been a good application for a polarizer to dampen the reflections. My only note is that the image seems soft. Maybe that's just due to downsizing for this presentation.

Very nice fall scene. The leaves on the ground reflect the color still on the trees. The background is surprisingly bright compared to under the trees, but the blue compliments the leaf colors, so it works. The dark bark of the tree trunks helps them stand out in the scene. Nice.

The yellow ribbon heart tells the story of the locks. If life was really that simple! Anyway, you have an interesting photo that tells the story of people's hopes and dreams. Best wishes to all of them, of course.

What a great sky! I don't know much about clouds, but I'm guessing there was a wind aloft, blowing the clouds like waves on the beach. The keystone effect in the original is not much of a problem for me, but I can understand why you wanted to remove it. The lower left corner needs a bit of attention, though. Neat shot.

Wow! No one could say this was "just an iPhone snapshot." You did a great job of planning to get the effect you wanted. I'm sure you did well in the iPhone challenge. I like the detailed 3D image of the leaf which is enhanced by the sharp reflection. Well done.

The original image is well composed with the dark roadway leading into the frame. The falling snow is good, too. It really sets the scene. Your edits add that touch of interest and color that draw my eyes inward. Nicely done.
