51 Nov 21 Reply Thank you for your comments. I had the same thoughts about this shot. I sort of wished I had a person sitting on the swing looking out at the pond. Since the person would be facing away from the camera, it might have been a good addition without being a distraction. Unfortunately, I didn't have a model with me, and no one else was on the walk that I could ask to pose.

51 Nov 21 Comment Great fall image. Yield from harvest and strong fall colors in one shot. The edge blur and vignette help to push my eyes into that unusual looking gourd in the center. Was this at a farmer's market? As Dave mentioned, the angle adds interest. Nice shot.

51 Nov 21 Comment Hope your workshop went well. The image looks like it was wet there. Lots of vegetation on those sharp-edged hills. What a great view. The clouds highlight the hills and increase the sense of dampness. Nice colors. Nice shot.

51 Nov 21 Comment Your explanation made this shot more interesting. That new spit of sand - a term I was not familiar with - created an oasis of sorts in the middle of the water. As Dave mentioned, the person adds scale and context. It seems to be cold, so might suggest warming the image a bit. Nice shot.

51 Nov 21 Comment Nice fall color with more to come from those green trees in the back. Super smooth water made for a great reflection. Good sky, too. Nicely done. I'm not sure I can agree with Dave about the horizon line, though. Maybe it's just my display or my failing eyesight! Nice shot.

51 Nov 21 Comment Wide variety of nice fall colors in this image. The water leads my eyes through the scene. Great sky and clouds, too. The water seems so smooth that it almost looks like a long exposure shot. It's a post card! Nice.
