51 Aug 21 Reply Thanks, Dave, for your kind comments. I'm sort of stuck on square black and white images. I like color, too, but I usually come back to BW. I started with BW film nearly a hundred years ago, so I suppose that's why.

51 Aug 21 Comment Nature's bounty. Hopefully you weren't competing with bears for them! Nice capture. Nice colors, too. I like the various stages of blossom to fruit represented in the image.

51 Aug 21 Reply Thank you for your kind words. We do have some nicer alleys, but they can be less interesting to photograph. I started roaming alleys several years ago and have done it in several towns. I haven't been seriously hassled at this point (knock on wood), but I try to be careful where and when I go.

51 Aug 21 Comment It might be interesting to be able to upload short videos to these pages occasionally, but I suppose that could be a whole different set of pages; sort of a YouTube by PSA. I have accidently taken a few shots with Live View, and I usually delete them when I discover my error because I don't know how to use them. I guess long exposure stills will have to show things like water flowing and things moving.

51 Aug 21 Comment The butterfly is beautiful. The colors are strong. I like the contrast of the less vibrant colors from the blossoms. All very soothing. Nicely composed and captured. It was good of the creature to pose for you!

51 Aug 21 Comment I've heard about this exhibit, but the details regarding where and when seemed to be a secret until just recently. Glad you got to experience it. Must have been amazing. Neat photo showing the huge scope of the presentation. Crowds are always going to be problem in a situation like this.
