51 Dec 18 Reply Regarding Snapseed, if I understand your comment, try this: adjustments are made by selecting which part of the tool one wishes to change, and then sliding one's finger horizontally across the screen. Sliding left usually reduces the effect and right strengthens it. If I didn't understand, please let me know. Dec 12th
51 Dec 18 Reply Thank you for your comments. The (cropped) original is attached. I like to think of it as a canvas on which I can add some new interest. Dec 11th
51 Dec 18 Comment Nice use of the app. The texture in the water glass is a nice contrast to the linear smoothness of the flower. Your continuing experiments with this app will be interesting to see. Dec 5th
51 Dec 18 Comment My eye is drawn to the red spot at the center of the bud. The HDR preset brought out the details and increased contrast. The background is in soft focus which helps to draw my eye to the red spot. I might suggest adding a rather strong vignette centered on that red spot. I think that will reduce the brightness of the background and deepen the colors there, too. Dec 5th
51 Dec 18 Comment I like this shot. I like the diagonal lines in the background crossing the white lines, and the strong circles of the shells. I also like the "odd man out" of the shell positioned upper right. HDR was well used here because it enhanced the details. Nicely done. I'm sure your club members liked it, too. Dec 5th
51 Dec 18 Comment Great story! Quite often, one can have an uneasy feeling when exploring abandoned spaces. I have had similar experiences in the past. The composition is good, and I think the slightly warped shapes add to the mysterious feeling of the shot. Dec 5th
51 Dec 18 Comment The low perspective really adds to this shot. The textures in the surface are interesting and draw the viewer into the distance. I like the contrast of the hardness close-in and the slight softness in the distance. Nice shot. Dec 5th
51 Dec 18 Comment Very nice image. I like the composition and the range of tones in the scene. There's a nice combination of strong diagonals and soft curves. As always, you have the photographer's eye. Well seen and captured. Dec 5th
