Sol, thank you for your comments and question. Most of the editing was done in Snapseed, but I used DistressedFX to add the tint. I can't be sure what the layer is called now, but I believe I adjusted the saturation and brightness before flattening the image. The gradient is part of the DFX layer. |

Nice use of DOF to push my eye to the wine glass. The composition and placement of the glass are nicely done. The reflection of the outdoor scene adds interest. Nice colors, too. Nice shot! |

Neat old barn for your collection. The post processing brought out the details of the building successfully and without any unwanted HDR-like halo. The colors are well saturated without over doing it. Nice post work. I might suggest that you reduce or brush down the detail in the sky, though. For me, it's a bit of a distraction from the barn. |

Lots of humor at work here. It's a Mercury woodie wagon, so the spar varnish and brush are part of the vehicle maintaince. The California reference is about surfing which is traditionally connected to old woodies. Your conversion to black and white fits the age of the vehicle, and the crop and blur eliminate distractions. |

Gosh, what a selection of gear. The colors suggest age. Lots of things to explore visually. It would have been fun to be there, but I have to admit that I already have too many film cameras and I need to thin the herd. But that's for another day. Nice shot.
I use The Darkroom for film. They make it pretty easy to get what you want in processing, scanning, or even prints. There are other places, but my investigation led me to The Darkroom. Film processing isn't exactly cheap, but I do love the look of film. I think my last roll of 120 black and white was about $2.50 per photo including shipping both ways, processing, scanning and cd. I could skip the scanning and the cd, of course, and do that myself.

I agree with you, Phill, the distortion is what makes this shot. I like the chubby appearance of the lighthouse. The bright primary colors attract my eye. Neat shot! |

I like the composition and the colors. The yuccas almost in silhouette are nice; standing proud of the while sand. Nice horizon, too. Good shot! It's another postcard. |
