Thank you for your comments and your questions. I think I'm stuck in a rut, or maybe I'm just trying to fill out a 20 image portfolio. I have been using the same edit process for several submissions. Snapseed is my first edit, where I convert to BW and use "tune image" to increase contrast and detail. Usually I crop to square also, but this image needed the extra width. Next, I open the image in Distressed FX where I sort through the overlays and textures until I find something I like. I use Resize It to reduce the dimensions before sending to Dave. I try to have some personal expression in my photography, and I think these images have that. |

I have seen a number of your abstracts, of course, and I'd have to say that I like this one best. I like the coarse texture behind the rectangular shapes. The colors are subtle and not blended. I think it is a decorative piece. |

I prefer the BW version. It gives the scene some age and no distracting colors. Just as a suggestion, if the woman and dog were further along on the sidewalk, it would have increased their impact. But with traffic and family along, waiting for that moment might not have been possible. |

What a trashy image! Okay, now that I have my little joke out of the way... I like the grunge post processing. It adds a painterly appearance which might suggest careful placement of the elements. Lots of strong colors included over the base green color. None of text is so visible that it distracts from the scene. I think your club will find this a winner. |

Sol, nice image. I like what you did with the app. The yellow and red colors really draw my eye, and of course the license plate makes it even more fun. The composition is well done, too. I like the placement of each element. |

Brings back childhood memories of travel with my family. We brought home a small bottle of the sand as a keepsake. Anyway, nice image with the blue sky and the white sands. The bright red stop sign punctuates the scene. Nicely seen and captured. Could be a postcard. |
