51 Oct 17 Reply Thank you for your comments. As I replied to Dave, I do think I added too much blur. I think, for me anyway, that it can be good to let an image sit for a couple of days after editing, and then going back for another look. That sometimes reveals the need for fewer or additional edits. I don't think I did that with this one. Oct 23rd
51 Oct 17 Reply Thanks for your comments. When I hike in these places, I do try to be aware of my surroundings. More concerning than bears for me is a mountain lion. It has been said that one never hears or sees a mountain lion until it attacks!

Regarding the blur: I do think I over did it. I reprocessed the image and I think it is better without so much blur. Thanks!

51 Oct 17 Comment The brightest part of the image is the critter's face and eye, so that is good. The colors are strong. As Dave pointed out, the composition includes the whole subject. The only thing that bothers me is the black "shoe" coming in from behind to step on the little thing, but that was not in your control. Nice shot. Oct 9th
51 Oct 17 Comment The rumpled one reminds me of how I feel some mornings... anyway, the addition of the texture of the rumpled pumpkin adds interest to what might have been an expected image. So that was nicely seen and captured. Oct 9th
51 Oct 17 Comment This is a bit of a dilemma for me. It's approaching winter here and this image reminds me of snow which doesn't exactly fit the theme or make me feel positive. (I need to move to a warmer climate.) But it certainly is another of your creative images, so that's good. Oct 9th
51 Oct 17 Comment I'd say there is more drama in the b&w version and that's good. The purple color in the color version is a distraction for me, but maybe that's just me. No worries with either version, it's the photographer's vision that matters. It's good work. Oct 9th
51 Oct 17 Comment As Dave mentioned, the addition of the foreground trees keeps this image from being the expected fall color shot. I hadn't tried the "accentuate" setting before you mentioned it, and it does make for a more interesting image. Nice composition. Good job. Oct 9th
51 Oct 17 Comment I like the composition and the colors. Good saturation without going overboard. As Sol mentioned, the water drops add to the image. Nice and sharp, too. It's a keeper!
