Thanks, Dave. I should have assumed that the term "encaustic" needed an explanation, so thanks for adding that information. Well stated. There are videos on YouTube that show the process, but not terribly well in some cases.
The idea is that it adds dimension to the flat paper image, and it also adds a softness that some people feel is an improvement, too. Sort of an oil paint quality, I suppose. One artist friend likes the aroma of beeswax, too. |

Very nice image with great detail and sharp focus. Nice saturation, too. I should look at those accessory lenses. Good setup and good work. |

Interesting conversion. Interesting tree, too. The fence keeps people from going down that slope, of course, either on purpose or by accident!
I'm not familiar with Enlight or Adobe Mix. I'll have to look at them. I probably would have tried Snapseed HDR effect to bring out the detail and then applied textures. |

Nice black and white conversion that goes with the scene. Interesting objects to look at. I do get the feeling that the wall is leaning to the left a bit.
As Phill mentioned, you can use the brush editing feature in Snapseed to lessen or remove a prior action -- such as removing part of the B&W layer to expose the color below. I think the built-in tutorials explain that. You might check. |

Here's another vote for the B&W version. It fits the dark mood of the forgotten location. The curve to a vanishing point adds a lot to the image. Even the sky cooperated. Nice shadows, too. |

Nicely done. It does look like a sunset image with the boaters in silhouette. You've taken a snapshot and made it into an interesting piece. |
