There are so many positive aspects that make this a WOW image! Mud droplets kicked high into the air, earnest expressions on man and buffaloes, the whip, and color contrast between bandana and yolk. Other than toning down the lighter-colored bush in at middle right edge, I wouldn't change a thing. |

I like the way the blue colors permeate and suffuse every part of this compelling cathedral interior! However, the tilted verticals and distraction at lower left are problematic. If the original image has sufficiently high resolution, one solution might be simply to crop in towards the people to remove distraction and improve perspective (see revised image). |

A creative image with vibrant yet harmonious colors. And more than just a simple swirl - the leaves from the water add to the image! I agree with Doug that cropping just a bit from the right improves image balance. Topaz Studio 2 (which I regularly use) is a great source for creative effects! |

Great capture of the Merlin, Donna, with prey in its mouth and catchlight in the eye. I also admire the sky replacement as it adds impact to the image. The 90 deg angle in the branch is a tad problematic since it appears to blend into the wing (but might have passed unnoticed if I hadn't seen the original!). Perhaps bringing back a bit of the branch would help here? I also agree that a higher f-stop would help in making all elements of the scene sharp. |

Nicely composed image, Meredith! The waterfall is well-suited to the vertical format. You did a good job cropping out the sky and lightening the rocks on either side of the waterfall. After a fair amount of consideration, I've decided that the tree on the left actually adds to the image and acts as an internal frame. You might consider warming up the image a bit. |

That object may be a "buoy", but its odd shape evokes a sense of mystery - to me it looks like the conning tower of a surfacing submarine! I feel that post-processing of the original IR photo has made a stronger image. I also agree that the image should be cropped from the left to place the main subject more off-center. |
